Fake Lacus - Meer Campbell
Her name is Meer Campbell, a big fan of the Real Lacus Clyne. She sounds almost like Lacus and like any fan, wants to know everything their is about the idol. One day, Gilbert, the chairman of ZAFT, called her and asked for her help. To do what? To impersonate Lacus Clyne in order to calm the citizens down. Lacus' influence was huge on PLANT and with her hiding on Earth, it was hard not being able to avoid a war. With Meer impersonating Lacus, PLANT can only stall for time before the inevitable happens. A Second War.
Of course Meer isn't what you might call "pretty". Her facial features is similiar to Azreal (that insaned Blue Cosmos ^^;) and her expressions are very outrageous. Of course, she wears a star clip instead of the normal clip and her clothes are more exposed than what Lacus would normally wear.
You can say Meer is a little behind since Athrun's no longer has a fiancee. Although she doesn't know that and acts as if they were still together. Athrun, on the other hand, already knew that she was a fake, even at first glance.
As for Meer's personality, she barely has any self-confident and one can say "no life". Even though her intentions are for the good of the people (hopefully throughout the series ^^;), she lacks the ability of being an "original". She can not stand for herself nor can she speak what she really thinks. Instead she pretends to be someone she is not which tells alot in her ability believe in herself. But in some areas, wouldn't you say she's sort of like Lacus?
As for her Red Haro, the two major questions are being asked: "Where did she get one?" and "Will it EVER learn proper English?!" We do not have evidence in where it came from since Athrun is the only one who can make them which they were all given to Lacus. And the English? It's probably going to torture us all for sometime. ^^;
